Privacy Policy

Overview

iArchivist is designed with privacy at its core. The app connects directly to your self-hosted TubeArchivist server, and all communication happens exclusively between your device and your server. We have no access to your videos, your server, or any of your personal information.

Data We Do NOT Collect

We want to be completely transparent: iArchivist does not collect any data. Specifically, we do not collect:

• Your videos or media
• Your server address or credentials
• Your location data
• Your device information
• Usage analytics or statistics
• Crash reports (unless you explicitly choose to share them)
• Any personally identifiable information

How the App Works

iArchivist connects directly to your TubeArchivist server using the credentials you provide. All data transfer happens directly between your device and your server:

• Your server address and login credentials are stored securely on your device only
• Videos and thumbnails are fetched directly from your server
• No data passes through any third-party servers, including ours
• We cannot see, access, or intercept any of your communications

Local Storage

The app stores some data locally on your device for functionality purposes:

• Your server URL and authentication tokens (stored securely in the iOS Keychain)
• Cached thumbnails for faster loading (stored in the app's local cache)
• Downloaded videos for offline viewing (stored in the app's local storage)
• Watch progress and playback position
• Your app preferences and settings

All locally stored data remains on your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party.

Third-Party Services

iArchivist does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only external connection the app makes is to your own TubeArchivist server.

Your Rights

Since we don't collect any of your data, there's nothing to delete, export, or modify on our end. You have complete control over your data:

• Delete the app to remove all locally stored data
• Clear the app cache in iOS Settings if desired
• Your videos remain on your server under your control

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change this privacy policy, we will update this page and notify users through the App Store update notes. However, our commitment to not collecting your data will never change.
